I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have worked with individuals from a wide range of age groups, cultures, and backgrounds providing trauma-informed and trauma-focused therapy interventions since 2014. Throughout my career I have served clients in a variety of settings, including prison, criminal/judicial courts, hospitals, community agencies, and emergency shelters. I have worked in Puerto Rico, Massachusetts, Connecticut and currently Texas, where I provide clients with support to cope with difficult life events.

I welcome individuals of diverse backgrounds struggling with victimization, trauma, career stress, life transitions, and serious mental illnesses. I also accept adolescents ages 12 and older struggling with serious emotional disturbances. I have special expertise in PTSD and other difficulties that can emerge following trauma and other stressful life events.

I hold certifications in Aggression Replacement Training (ART), and Trafficking Prevention. I am professionally trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in Problem Sexual Behavior Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (PSB-CBT), and in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR).

Using a holistic and strengths-based approach, I will support you in becoming more attuned to your thoughts, improving your tolerance level for feelings of discomfort, challenging unhelpful cognitions, and processing traumatic events. I strive to create a safe space where you can express yourself without judgment, explore difficult topics, and make changes to live a more fulfilling life.
